Athens, Greece is the location of our next ATP Challenger Tournament event. This match happens on hard courts, one of three total being played this week, and is worth $42,500. The official name of the tournament is the Status Athens Open 2012 and it will run from the 7th of May to the 13th. Other hard court events include Busan, South Korea for $75,000 and Rio Quente, Brazil for $35,000. There are also two clay court events being played, one for 85,000 Euros in Prague, Czech Republic and another in Rome, Italy for 30,000 Euros.

 

 

6150 Euros and 80 points will go to the winner of this tournament and it could be anyone. Right now the top seed is Igor Kunitsyn, who is ranked 88th in the world right now. Karol Beck is the number two seed, coming in at 111th. Third is Jurgen Zopp and then Marinko Matosevic will be the fourth seed. Ruben Bemelmans comes in next at number five, currently ranked 145th, and then Alexander Kudryavtsev will be sixth. Our seventh seed for this challenger tournament is Konstantin Kravchuk and eighth is Laurynas Grigelis.

The ATP Challenger event in Athens, Greece is known as the STATUS Athens Open, and it is a hard court tournament that happens from April 11^th through the 17^th and is worth €85,000.
