The ATP World Tour will go to Astana this week for a tournament in Astana, Kazakhstan, which will join several other tournaments on the Challenger Tour, although they are all smaller tournaments than the event in Astana. Playing this week is a tournament in Wuhai, China on hard courts for $35,000 as well as two 30,000 Euro tournaments in Dortmund, Germany and Recanati, Italy, one clay and one hard surface. Also, Finland will play host to a 43,000 Euro ATP Challenger Tournament that will take place on clay courts as well.

The President's Cup is the name of the tournament in Astana, Kazakhstan this week, and it is from the 25th of July to the 31st. This is a hard court tournament worth $125,000 and will feature Andrey Golubev as both a wildcard and the top seed for this event, with Mikhail Kukushkin as the second seed. Third and fourth seeds are Dudi Sela and Karol Beck and the fifth seeded player in the main draw is Lukas Lacko. The tournament in Astana, Kazakhstan, is the largest of the four Challenger Tournaments held this week, and is a chance for the up and coming tennis players on the tour to make some serious money with a prize purse of $125,000. This tournament will be played on hard courts, and is officially called the President's Cup, held November 1st through the 7th, and the number one seed is hometown boy Mikhail Kukushkin, who will be going up against Philipp Oswald in the first round. The second seed for the President's Cup is Bjorn Phau from Germany.

This tournament is August 23rd through the 29th and in the main draw for the singles the top seed for this tournament is Igor Kunitsyn from Russia, who will face a qualifier in the first round. Kunitsyn is a 28 year old who has earned nearly two million dollars in this tennis career so far, making it to the second round of the U.S. Open, Wimbledon and the Australian Open. The second seed for this event is another Russian, Konstantin Kravchuk. Third on the list is Andrej Martin, who hails from the Slovak Republic.

The week is made up of five tournaments for the ATP Challenger Tour. The first is the Astana tournament, worth $125,000, played in Kazakhstan on hardcourts, which will be closely followed by a tournament in Chuncheon, Korea and then one in the states in Charlottsville, Virginia. Astana is the President's Cup of the Challenger Tour, and the draws are in. The top seed for this tournament is Denis Istomin, who will be facing off against Ilya Belyaev in the first round. Second seed is Teimuraz Gabashvili from Russia who will be facing off against compatriot Michail Elgin in round one. Third seed is Bjorn Phau who hails from Germany, and fourth seed in this exciting tournament will be Stephane Robert from France. Number five is Laurent Recouderc who also hails from France.
