The ATP tournament that happens in Costa do Sauipe, Brazil will be playing on clay and the prize purse if $442,500. It will start on February 7th and run until the 13th and is officially called the Brasil Open with a singles draw of 32 and a doubles draw of 16. The Brasil Open, which is event number two in the tour through Latin America, is one of the most beautiful tournaments played, and has built a reputation for going green, including planting trees and providing materials that are recyclable for children to make art and craft projects out of.
The top seed for this Brazil tournament is Juan Carlos Ferrero, with Albert Montanes as the second. Then, Igor Andreev takes the third spot and Thomaz Belluci is fourth. Fifth and sixth seeds are Victor Hanescu and Horacio Zeballos. The seventh seed for the Brasil Open is Pablo Cuevas and the eighth is Lukasz Kubot. Twelve Tournaments make up the ATP Regular Circuit in February and the latest is the Brasil Open, held in Costa do Sauipe, Brasil for a total prize purse of $442,500 and a singles draw of thirty two with a doubles draw of sixteen. The ATP has four stops in Latin America and this is the second of those, this tournament is notable for conservation efforts of those involved, including planting trees and other carbon offsets, as well as for holding the event in a beautiful area famous for its beaches. The tournament runs from February 8th to the 14th and features Juan Carlos Ferrero as the top seed. The former world number one hasn't yet won a match in the 2010 season of ATP Tennis, but hopes to change all that with the Brasil Open, having made it all the way to the finals in 2007.
The second seed is Albert Montanez, who is at number 28th right now, after winning five matches to three lost. Third is Igor Andreev who is hoping for a better showing than his first round exits in both 2007 and 2008. Fourth seed is Thomaz Belluci, with Victor Hanescu as fifth, and sixth, seventh and eighth are Horacio Zeballos, Pablo Cuevas and Richard Gasquet.
