The Swiss Indoors Basel will be played this week as a part of the ATP 500 series. Some of the leading names in tennis are set to grace the event and let us take a look at some of them.
The top seed has been given to the local hero Stan Wawrinka, who has been in a decent form in the recent weeks. Following his win at the US Open, he was the runner-up in ATP St. Petersburg and also reached the third round in Shanghai Masters. World no. 4 Milos Raonic is the second seed here, who too last reached the third round in the Shanghai Masters, before losing cheaply to Jack Sock. Following him in the ranking is Kei Nishikori, who is third seeded player. He hasn't been that active on the tour recently, having played only in ATP Tokyo in the last month. He is low on momentum too, given that he crashed early in the tournament to Joao Sousa. Lastly, Marin Cilic is the fourth seed here, who last played in Shanghai Masters, where he lost his opening match to Alexander Zverev.
Other big names include Grigor Dimitrov, David Goffin, and Richard Gasquet. Needless to mention, the tennis fans in Basel are in for a massive treat this week.
